MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry celebrated their second wedding anniversary this week and had to get creative during lockdown.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent their May 19 celebrations tucking into Mexican food and margarita cocktails, according to Bazaar.com.
Omid Scobie, the journalist behind the couple’s upcoming biography Finding Freedom, said a source had revealed they spent time during the day looking back at their 2018 wedding.
They also spoke via video call to a number of key vendors who had helped to bring their Windsor Castle wedding to life.
A source said: “They all reminisced about what a beautiful and magical day it was.”
Omid added: “And with the Sussexes now based in Los Angeles, it only seemed right to celebrate with a Southern Californian favorite—Mexican food.
“The couple, who also exchanged cotton-based gifts per tradition, enjoyed a number of favorite dishes together, washed down with margaritas.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently self-isolating in LA in a £15million mansion owned by comedian and producer Tyler Perry.
They relocated across the pond with one-year-old Archie, after stepping down as senior royals earlier this year.
The source added the couple would not be doing any work or meetings on their anniversary.
It is said Meghan and Harry have been spending lockdown planning the launch of their non-profit organisation Archewelle, and figuring out their next ventures.

To mark their second anniversary, Meghan and Harry have also helped to provide 250,000 meals for struggling Brits during lockdown with their £90,000 wedding donation.
The Sussexes pledged the money raised from their royal wedding TV broadcast to help the Feeding Britain charity.
