Meghan Markle was snubbed by fashion designers for not being ‘A-list’ enough, her make-up artist claims

MEGHAN Markle may have taken the fashion world by storm since joining the royal family, but she was previously “snubbed” by designers.

The Duchess of Sussex’s long-time friend Daniel Martin revealed the actress was shunned by designers for not being “A-list” enough before she married Prince Harry.

Speaking to CBS News, Meghan’s make-up artist said: “There were times when designers wouldn’t send her anything because she wasn’t an A-list actress or she wasn’t doing movies.

"She always had such an innate sense of her own style so I’m happy people can see that."

The tables have certainly shifted in the former Suits star’s favour, as many in the fashion industry have called her influence the “Meghan Markle effect”, as everything she wears sells out.

While thousands of women are desperate to replicate her chic style, Daniel also evealed that Meghan chooses all her own clothes and doesn’t have a stylist.

He said: “She doesn’t have a stylist, everything she wears she picks herself. No stylist. It’s pretty incredible that she can manage all of this."

In contrast, Kate Middleton hired former Vogue Editor Ginnie Chadwyck-Healey to help shift her mumsy image.

Harper Bazaar's Jessica Matlin said to CBS: “There’s no bigger influencer than Meghan Markle. She’s really got the golden touch because everyone is interested in her."

Celebrity stylist, Lucas Armitage, claims Meghan’s status as a style icon has forced Kate to rethink her own wardrobe.

Lately the Duchess of Cambridge has been wearing pricey outfits which ooze glamour, a change from her practical, yet stylish, wardrobe.

Speaking to Femail, Lucas said: “Meghan has cemented herself a place as the leading stylish member of the Royal family, and rumours are circulating she has forced Kate to up her style game.

“Whilst the public love Kate for her sometimes thrifty reusing of wardrobe staples and her love of mid-range brands it’s interesting Meghan shuns them all-together.”

A royal expert claims Prince Harry wanted Kate and Meghan to be best friends, but they’re just too different.

And the royals are seen smiling, high-fiving and photobombing in this selfies.
