Mrs Hinch gets her jewellery looking sparkling new with £1 Stardrops spray

HANDS up if you can't remember the last time you properly cleaned your jewellery. Good – we're glad it's not just us.

That said, if anyone is going to inspire us to get round to this tedious task – it's got to be Mrs Hinch.

This afternoon, the cleanfluencer – who boasts 3.2 million followers on Instagram – revealed her simple two-ingredient trick to getting her jewellery back to its sparkling best.

Mrs Hinch – AKA Sophie Hinchliffe – started by pouring half a cup of Stardrops' White Vinegar spray into a bowl.

With Diamonds Are Forever aptly playing in the background, Sophie then added two tablespoons of baking soda into the solution which made it fizz.

Ever the cleaning expert, the mum-of-one explained to her fans how she'd "popped a cloth underneath just in case it overflows". Smart thinking.

Once this was done, Sophie then put her engagement ring, her wedding ring, a ring featuring baby Ronnie's initials and a pair of earrings in the solution to soak.

Three hours later, Sophie fished out her jewellery, rinsed each item in water, dried them down and was amazed by what a dramatic difference it made.

Sharing stunning before-and-after photos, the star's collection looked as if it were brand new.

White vinegar's acidity is responsible for how well it cleans tarnished jewellery as it effectively dissolves dirt.

Meanwhile, baking soda reacts well with vinegar to cut through grease and leave the surface gleaming.

Although Mrs Hinch didn't disclose exactly what brand of baking soda she used, her Stardrops White Vinegar spray has been a staple of her "Narnia" cleaning collection since she shot to fame in 2018.

What's more, the cleaning guru is also mad about the brand's Pink Stuff miracle multipurpose paste which she uses to keep her hob sparkling.

For more incredible cleaning hacks, this mum praised a £2.50 Home Bargains spray for speeding up the ironing by instantly getting rid of creases in clothes.

And this cleaning fanatic used an 89p paste to transform her crockery which was so scratched she almost binned the whole set.

Plus this mum praised a £2 Wilko spray which made her mattress smell fresh and lifted stains as her daughter struggles with bed wetting.
