Mum recreates £78 per roll wallpaper she fell in love with for £20 using tape and glitter paint – and transforms her lounge – The Sun

A MUM has revealed how she recreated an expensive wallpaper look for just £26 using tape and glitter paint.

The UK-based home owner shared how she had fallen in love with a pricey design that was £78 a roll, but she didn’t want to spend the money to copy it in her house.

Thinking outside the box, she decided that a DIY job was the way forward to saving some money.

Writing on the Extreme Couponing and Baragins UK Facebook, she said: “I fell in love with this wall paper on Insta (1st pic) but I didn't love the price tag at £78 a roll!

“I'd have needed 3 rolls for one wall.

“So good old frog tape, paint & glitter.  Grand total of £26 I'm pretty chuffed with it.”

The hubby and I have had a day off together. We’ve been on another show home stalk. She shared a photo of the stunning Instagram house she had got inspiration from, which had cream wallpaper with a silver geometric design.

In her finished shots at her own home, the mum has done her own version in her lounge – and many social media users praised her efforts.

One wrote: “Look how clean and fresh.”

Another added: “Can you come and decorate my home?”

And one said: “Wow looks stunning.”
