My $2 solution instantly gets rid of ants if they invade your kitchen, and doubles as an all-purpose cleaner | The Sun

AN influencer has shared her cheap hack for ridding your kitchen of ants.

The content creator demonstrated how her handy solution also works as an all-purpose cleaner.

The TikTok user, who goes by KB (@cleaningvideos303), revealed: "The best and cheapest way to get rid of ants this summer."

In her video, the TikToker told viewers: "I went down to the dollar store and got vinegar in a spray bottle.

"Then I removed everything off of my counter so I could spray it down really good," KB said, as she showed her followers the process.

"If you’re worried about expenses this is only $2," the content creator said.

KB explained that the vinegar immediately killed the ants, however, she let it sit on the counter for 10 minutes.

After wiping everything down, the influencer then showed her audience an optional second step.

"I took some peppermint oil and doused a paper towel in it. The peppermint oil erases the ants' chemical trails," she explained.

KB continued: "If you’re extra like me, you can use the vinegar and the peppermint oil to mop your floors.
