Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have filmed a documentary in Africa – and baby Archie has a starring role – The Sun

PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle have just concluded their 10-day Africa tour – and we will soon be able to see some behind-the-scenes moments from their trip.

Presenter Tom Bradby revealed he finished filming a documentary on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during their official visit, and baby Archie has a starring role.

Taking to Twitter, the ITV News host wrote: “Just finished filming a documentary on Harry and Meghan in Africa. I think it will explain a lot when it airs.”

Tom previously filmed a documentary with Prince Harry in Africa in 2016, and he also interviewed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge after their November 2017 engagement.

Given that the tour was four-month-old Archie’s first overseas tour, the young royal is likely to feature in the programme.

Archie stole the limelight on the trip when he was brought along to visit Archbishop Desmond Tutu in Cape Town.

The documentary is likely to feature the couple promoting causes close to their hearts in South Africa, Botswana, Angola, and Malawi.

However, the trip wasn’t without its controversies, which could be what the comment about how it “will explain a lot” is referring to.

Towards the end of the tour, Harry revealed his wife Meghan has launched legal action against the Mail on Sunday.

In a lengthy statement published on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's website, Harry alleged the paper had "unlawfully" published a letter from her to her father Thomas Markle.

Meghan Markle insists the letter – which detailed her pain at their estrangement since the Royal Wedding – was private.

In a statement revealing the legal action, Prince Harry claimed the couple were suffering from the "painful" impact of "relentless propaganda" against Meghan.

But royal commentators questioned his comments.

Prince Charles’ biographer Penny Junor said: “This is the most extraordinary statement and goes way beyond anything I have ever seen issued by a member of the royal family.

“I completely understand that Harry should feel protective about his wife and there have undoubtedly been some negative stories in the last nine months that must have hurt – but not exclusively in the Mail on Sunday – and they have not all been lies, nor I would suggest, part of a ruthless campaign. "

And GMB host Piers Morgan criticised Harry for comparing Meghan to his mother, saying: "I think comparing Meghan to Diana is a mistake.

"Harry talks about Diana and, of course everyone knows the history there and of course everybody felt for him, but he's not the only person who's lost a parent.

"If he's going to be this vicious about the press collectively he's got to be entitled to be scrutinised for what he's actually saying."

The tour included the moment an angry Prince Harry lectured a journalist on her behaviour hours before releasing anti-press statement.

We reported how Harry went "rogue" and did not warn officials or consult dad Charles or brother William before releasing Tuesday's unprecedented statement.

Apparently he wrote it himself with no guidance from Buckingham Palace or his team of senior advisers.
