This was the case for the Queen’s ring and many royal brides since.

Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie’s rings have all been made from Welsh gold.

However, Beatrice’s is a band in platinum set with brilliant cut diamonds.

It fits snugly next to Beatrice’s ring from Edo.

Edoardo worked with Shaun Leane to create the wedding ring and the wedding band, which were made from sustainable jewels.

The jewellery said the engagement ring was “a fusion of Victorian and Art Deco designs.”

The band was created “so the two rings sit seamlessly together.”

Shaun Leane added: “I am thrilled for the happy couple. It warms my heart to see two wonderful people unite in love as much as Edoardo and Beatrice do.

“I feel honoured to have been a part of their journey and to have been involved in the very special moments of designing and creating the engagement ring and wedding ring.”

Princess Beatrice’s engagement ring and wedding band are more modern in style, especially compared to her sister’s.

Princess Eugenie has a pink sapphire, surrounded by diamonds, in a style very similar to her mother’s, Sarah Ferguson’s.

Many royal engagement rings feature coloured stones, as this was the traditional style before diamond rings became the choice for almost every bride to be.

Coloured stones have once again become fashionable, perhaps because of this royal inspiration.
