A WOMAN has left cleaning fans in fits of laughter after revealing her husband mistook her cloth for a sanitary towel.
Gemma Lou, from the UK, shared the story along with a photo of her “Minky” cloth, which is a favourite of cleaning sensation Mrs Hinch.
She uploaded the snap to the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips group on Facebook, and wrote: “Husband just asked ‘Why on Earth are we now cleaning the sink down with a heavy flow sanitary pad?’”
Her comical tale left members of the group in hysterics, and has racked up over 3,100 likes.
One person wrote: “How would a man even know the difference between heavy flow and regular?”
And another added: “I mean, has anyone tried it? He might be on to something?”
Meanwhile, one social media user joked: “I actually LOL! Cheered me right up!”
Fans of Sophie Hinchliffe, aka Mrs Hinch, have been raving about the now-famous scrubbing pad after the cleaning guru first recommended it in 2018.
Minky cloths typically retail for around £2.50 in Home Bargains, The Range and B&M.
Gemma’s husband may have had some confusion over the oval-shaped cleaning cloth, but he isn’t the only one.
One person added on the post: “My first thought when I got one too.”
And another added: “Mine said exactly the same.”
WHO IS MRS HINCH?
Having catapulted to online fame for fun and budget cleaning hacks, fans of the Essex housewife are claiming that the inspiring cleaning content has "changed" their "lives" and worked wonders for their mental health.
Sophie revealed that she didn't go looking for online fame and only created the Mrs Hinch Home account two years ago to avoid "clogging up my personal Instagram and boring everyone with home pictures."
Sophie aims to make cleaning fun instead of a chore, and has named all of her cleaning equipment.
Her antibacterial cleaning pad is named a Minky, after the Minky M Cloth brand.
Sophie bulk-buys a lot of her cleaning products and she keeps them all in a wardrobe in her garage, which she refers to as her Narnia.
If you are keen to get your own hands on the popular cloth, you might be able to find a cheap dupe.
Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains group, user Marie Graffin said: "Wow… Minky dupes available in Savers.
"Best thing is [they're] only 99p!"
