SOMETIMES people deliberately make clothes in bad taste.
But even worse is when the designer is convinced they've hit the stylish nail on the head – when they've in fact achieved the very opposite.

Thankfully for our enjoyment, there are some hilarious fashion fails which have been captured beautifully on camera.
Take, for example, a woman's red shift skirt featuring a large gold key hole print on the rear.
The unfortunate placing certainly made her outfit hit an, err, bum note.
What is more fortunate for her is that she is not alone in the sartorial disaster zone.

While the design may have been passable – although still pretty horrendous – in another colour, the chosen shades had the awkward effect of looking like a humongous period stain.
The accidental involvement of women's private parts also happened on a women's black and brown bodycon dress.
Despite being a stylish cut, its fleur-de-lis inspired pattern had the unfortunate effect of resembling an untamed vagina in the crotch area.

For a third time unlucky, an underwear manufacturer had the bright idea of adding cute kittens to pairs of women's briefs.
The placement of a pussycat on the front was in fact a very bad idea.
In similarly cringe-inducing fashion, a woman posted a picture of herself wearing a grey jumpsuit online.
However, witty Twitter users pointed out that it looked like she was wearing a huge pair of sweatpants belonging to American basketball player Shaquille Rashaun "Shaq" O'Neal.

Comfort, of course, is important when it comes to clothes – but one man dealt with the hot weather in a visually-horrendous way.
He was spotted by a passer-by wearing denim hot pants with long grey socks and brown loafers.
And while tonal dressing may be having a moment, we do hope the lady dressed in head-to-toe bubblegum pink was actually on her way to a fancy dress party.

But one man had the unfortunate experience of wearing a monochrome striped shirt that actually made him blend in with the passed seats in a bar.
Whether it was for the best that his outfit was rendered barely visible by the optical illusion is up for debate.
In further ghastly outfit news, a shop was spotted selling a straw hat featuring lots of mini straw hats on its rim.
And a woman risked turning off the person she was trying to impress when she had the bizarre idea of purchasing a pair of blue stain trousers with literal windows to her bum…
