Consider yourself a takeaway connoisseur?
Have a healthy respect for any cuisine you can get delivered to your door?
Reluctant to settle for a restaurant with less than four stars to its name when you order?
Then you’re in luck, because Deliveroo is looking for three food reviewers to taste test the food from restaurants for whom they deliver.
Successful applicants will get credit that amounts to a year’s worth of free takeaway (valued at £3,120).
The new roles have been created to help test the food on offer and to find any ‘hidden gems’.
Any hidden gems singled out by the new ‘Rooviewers’ will be in with a chance of featuring in future Deliveroo marketing campaigns.
As well as being able to test food from restaurants near them, the Rooviewers will get to try food from all over the UK – from chippy teas to Michelin starred finery, the food world will be your oyster.
Successful Rooviewer candidates should enjoy a wide variety of cuisines and flavours (sweet, spicy, savoury etc.), be familiar with food from big chains and be willing to try food from local independent joints.
They must also have ‘a sense of culinary adventure’ and be able to clearly articulate their opinions on food into written or visual reviews.
If you get the job, you’ll have to write reviews of your ‘food experiences’ using the credit you’ve been given to buy takeaways.
You’ll have to take photos and videos of you taste testing the food, which would be used on Deliveroo’s social channels and blog during the year.
You must also be 18 years or older and in the UK.
If this fits you to a T, then you can apply via the Deliveroo website, where you have until 4 February to apply.
Aisha Jefferson at Deliveroo said: ‘Great food is there to be discovered, and we want to help more people find it. We know our customers love food, everything from local favourites to high-street staples, so this is an opportunity for any Deliveroo devotees with a good palette and a taste for great food to trial new, mind-blowing meals.
‘In the past year, we’ve welcomed over 20,000 new restaurants on the platform, now we need three curious connoisseurs who “get” food as much as we do to hero the hidden gems and help us in our year of food discovery.’
