I've Officially Found The Greatest Condiment At Trader Joe's

I do most of my food shopping at Trader Joe’s, and I could easily spend hours browsing the options in the prepared food and frozen aisles.

As evident by frequent texts to my fiancé like this one, I spend a bit too much time (and money) at our local Trader Joe’s.

Any loyal Trader Joe’s shopper knows that there are constantly new and amazing products popping up on the shelves.

Which is why I’m always on the lookout for the best new products.

Well, the other day I found this chili oil crunch in the new arrivals shelf. I immediately threw one into my cart.

Being a big fan of Szechuan food and hot chili oil in general, I had high hopes for this new condiment.

It’s made with olive oil, dried onions and garlic, crushed chili pepper and dried red bell peppers. It packs a serious kick and it has a super satisfying crunch.

My initial instinct was to eat it by the spoonful, which proved delicious but also insanely spicy. So I decided to do the more responsible thing and put it on pasta.

Mix a spoonful of the chili onion crunch into your pasta, and you’ve got what’s *basically* instant Dan Dan noodles. This is going to be a new staple in my lazy dinner routine.

I’ve tried the chili onion crunch on roasted veggies, on my morning avocado toast, and even on roasted chicken. It truly tastes amazing on anything savory.

This single ingredient instantly upgrades any simple meal into something incredibly flavorful.

I even made Alison Roman’s famous poached fish recipe and substituted the homemade chili oil for this store-bought stuff.

Please don’t @ me Alison, I know I cheated but the end result was phenomenal.

Anyway, I just wanted to write this little PSA to let you know that should you find yourself near a Trader Joe’s in the near future, but a jar of this chili onion crunch in your cart. You won’t regret it.
