Marks and Spencer Foodhalls have been open during the coronavirus pandemic.

While customers have been able to pick up food in stores, M&S has also offered a range of delivery services.

The retailer has now brought back Food to Order that allows customers to get freshly made meals and treats.

These can be ordered for special occasions such as birthdays and outdoor gatherings.

A Marks and Spencer statement said: “We have also resumed our popular Food to Order service.

“As customers begin to start socialising more outdoors, they can now order some of their favourite food products for pickup in store – whether it’s a picnic, barbecue or laid-back summer dinner at home.”

As the coronavirus lockdown eases, Britons can spend more time outdoors and meet with some family and friends at a safe distance.

The new service will offer treats for those occasions as well as for any big nights in.

The statement added: “Working closely with our suppliers, we’ve introduced a selected range of our most popular items – including our Classic Sandwich Selection and Slow-Cooked Lamb Shanks with Honey-Roast Root Vegetables.”

In addition to sandwich selections, customers can pick up party foods including pizza, burgers and sausage rolls.

Shoppers can leave the cooking with freshly prepared meals including a Roast Turkey Breast Joint, Smoked Pork Shoulder and various pasta dishes.

Sides are also available starting at just £4.50.

While birthday celebrations are very different during the lockdown, decadent birthday cakes can also be requested.
