Although McDonald’s as we currently know it is pretty darn amazing (ever heard of Spicy Chicken McNuggets???), there are still a few discontinued menu items we’ve been missing. We’re talking Snack Wraps, Salad Shakers (just me?), and most importantly, ORANGE HI-C. And though we can’t get some of them back, we just got the news that we’re about to be reunited with our favorite orange drink!
McDonald’s announced today that Hi-C Orange Lavaburst—which you might know best as Hi-C Orange—is officially coming back to menus nationwide! This drink first came to McDonald’s in 1955 (!!!) and developed a massive fan following for how perfectly it paired with a Big Mac and fries. The chain says it has gotten countless requests to bring this fan-favorite drink back ever since it disappeared back in 2017, even seeing petitions, but soon it will be back in our cups!!
Hi-C Orange will begin rolling out at select McDonald’s restaurants starting this month and will be available as a regular soft drink option at all participating locations nationwide by this June. And if you just can’t take the anticipation, starting on Monday, you can drop your zip code into mcdfinder.com to find the closest McDonald’s location that has Hi-C available. The tracker will be updated weekly as more restaurants add the drink back to their roster. We can hardly wait to take our first sip of Hi-C Orange again. Will it taste like happiness?? I think so.
