Supermarkets have shared updates on products including fruit, fish and chocolate. This is the full list of affected items at Sainsbury’s and Hotel Chocolat.
Hotel Chocolat
Summer Desserts Sleekster chocolates
Hotel Chocolat branches have recalled the chocolate treats as they contain some ingredients not mentioned on the packaging.
They may contain egg, gluten (wheat) and nuts (hazelnut, walnut).

Point-of-sale notices have been issued which share more information for customers.
If the items were purchased in stores, customers have three months to return them for a full refund.
Those who bought the chocolates online will be automatically issued with an update, which can take up to seven days to process.
Sainsbury’s
Hoffman’s Foods Chopped Herring
Chopped Herring has been recalled as it contains some allergens not listed on the label.
Some batches of the fish product contain egg, sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites, which is not clear on the packaging.
The food product has been sold in Sainsbury’s stores and the affected batches are as followed.

Anyone who has bought the affected packs can return them to stores for a full refund, according to point-of-sale notices in stores.
The notices states: “If you have bought Hoffman’s Foods Chopped Herring as detailed above, and you have an allergy to egg or sulphite do not eat it.
“Instead, check if you have bought the affected batch code and use by date of the Hoffman’s Foods Chopped Herring.
“You can do this by taking a picture of this notice and writing down the batch code and use by date for reference at home.
“Return the product to store for a full refund (with or without a receipt).”
Taste the Difference Medjool Dates
The supermarket chain also issued a warning for Taste the Difference Medjool Dates due to the possible contamination of Hepatitis A.
This can cause fever, nausea, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, dark-coloured urine and jaundice
Packs in the size 200g and 500g were affected and all best before dates were affected.
They can be returned to stores for a full refund.
