Ant Anstead Shares Vintage Photo of Himself as a Young Dad — and Fans Think His Baby Looks Familiar

Ant Anstead threw it back this Thursday with a sweet family photo, but it's not the famous TV mechanic fans have their eyes on!

The Wheelers Dealers host, 41, took to Instagram to share an adorable old photo of himself with his eldest son, Archie, now 14, when he was a baby — and his followers are loving getting a glimpse of the father of three as a young dad.

“😱😂 @archoanstead just sent me this!!!! 🥰 ” Ant captioned the photo of himself sporting a grey t-shirt and looking off to the side while holding baby Archie in the crook of his arm.

“Must be 12/13 years ago? where does the time go dude? X x” he continued, adding an old man emoji.

Many fans noted in the comments section that baby Archie is a spitting image of Ant's 1-year-old son Hudson London, whom he shares with ex Christina Anstead, 37.

“Hudson really resembles Archie! ” one fan wrote. Another remarked, ”Legit that’s a mini Hudzo.”

One commenter took a playful shot at Ant’s now-silver hair, writing, “Thought you had put some Grecian 2000 [hair dye] on & were holding Hudson.” “Ouch x” he replied to the comment.

And while some fans were remarking that his children share similar genes, others were commenting on how good his genes are.

“You really are like a bottle of fine wine ,” one fan wrote, while another remarked, “Hot then, hot now! Actually hotter now!”

“Look at those guns!!” a third commenter added.

Anstead shares Archie and daughter Amelie, 17, with his first wife, Louise Herbert. The kids live with Herbert in Ant’s native U.K., but visited their father in California often prior to the coronavirus pandemic.

Ant and Christina married at their home in Newport Beach, California, in December 2018 and welcomed Hudson in September 2019. The Christina on the Coast star announced in September that she and Ant had split after less than two years of marriage, and PEOPLE reported that she officially filed for divorce earlier this month.

On Wednesday, PEOPLE confirmed that Christina had filed for joint physical and legal custody of Hudson and that neither star is requesting spousal support.

Hudson is the only child the former couple share, though Christina also has son Brayden James, 5, and daughter Taylor Reese, 10, with ex-husband and Flip or Flop costar Tarek El Moussa.

Last week, Christina took to Instagram to clap back against claims that she is an absent parent — particularly compared to Ant and El Moussa — simply because she doesn’t post about her kids on social media as often as her ex-husbands do.

"Smh wake up people. I hardly post anymore … and I def do not want to post my kids every freaking day to make it a contest of who's a better parent 🤦🏼‍♀️ f that," the mom of three wrote in the caption of a mirror selfie. "This doesn't mean I'm not with my kids — it means the opposite — I am with them — I'm present."

"Stop parent shaming people, stop choosing sides when there is no side to choose,” she added. "My point being — when you see stuff on here take it all with a grain of salt. There is a whole lot of Filters and fake smiles. I've been guilty of faking it too. We are all struggling — some of us are just better at 'masking' it."

The HGTV star first shared the news that she and Ant had split on September 18, shocking fans.

"Ant and I have made the difficult decision to separate. We are grateful for each other and as always, our children will remain our priority," Christina wrote in an Instagram post. "We appreciate your support and ask for privacy for us and our family as we navigate the future."

Shortly after the news broke, a source told PEOPLE that Christina and Ant had been struggling with their relationship for a year — since the birth of Hudson. “After the baby, they started having conflicts,” the source said.

Despite her full house, the source said Christina was left feeling “lonely and unhappy” with her home life. “Christina found it difficult to balance everything” and “their marriage was struggling.”

The source went on to share that although things may be tough right now, Christina is remaining optimistic about her future: “She never expected to get a divorce. But she is doing okay and focusing on the kids.”
