Spoilers: Robbo and Des in kidnapping showdown in Home and Away

Colby (Tim Franklin) has managed to take over a tense situation in Northern Districts Hospital, where Robbo (Jake Ryan) had matched the DNA of a recently admitted man – Lenny Gordon (Joseph Del Re) – to one of Jasmine’s (Sam Frost) kidnappers. After a standoff where Robbo barricaded himself into Lenny’s room and demanded information on his wife’s whereabouts, despite Lenny’s condition rapidly worsening, the hospital staff have finally gained access to treat him.

Once Lenny is stabilised, Colby offers him protective custody so Des can’t get to him. This peace of mind leads to Lenny confessing that he believes Jasmine has been taken to an abandoned power plant. Robbo wants to get over there right away, but Colby insists they’ll do better if they wait until morning, where there will be enough light to tackle the operation effectively.

At first light, the police and AFP head to the powerplant, where Robbo, Colby and the other officers begin to raid the premises. As they go through the building, we see Jasmine being held by Des (Matt Zeremes) and Fitz (Nathan Sapsford) in a corner. Although Des threatens to kill her if she makes a sound, Jasmine decides to risk it and calls out, alerting Robbo and Colby to her position.

Although Des tries to get away with her, she breaks free and runs to Robbo. Des decides to give up on having her as a hostage, and run while he’s got the chance. Jasmine and Robbo are finally reunited, but he has to leave her again to go after Des and Fitz.

Leaving Jasmine with Colby, Robbo goes after the men who murdered his old family. He relentlessly chases them through the endless corridors and staircases in the power plant, tailing Des until he’s got him backed into a corner.

But a ute driven by Fitz suddenly roars into view, almost running Robbo over. Both Robbo and Colby are forced to leap to the side as Des and Fitz escape. Robbo has his wife back, but with the gang members off in the distance, the threat continues…
