Kicking off the covers on a warm summer night is a regular occurrence for most Brits when a heat wave (finally!) comes along.

But as summer heats up, supermarket chain Aldi seems to be selling a product that not only looks good, but could help shoppers feel more comfortable this season too.

Aldi’s new ‘cooling down for summer’ range hit UK stores earlier this month and is said to feature special technology that can help keep the body cool and calm.

The collection, in various stylish shades of breezy blues, greys and white, starts with a pillowcase costing £3.99.

The bedding claims to help summer sleepers get a more comfortable night’s sleep when the mercury rises, due to being made from a fabric blend of 70% cotton and 30% Tencel.

According to a press release on Aldi’s website, the supermarket says: “As well as being sustainable, Tencel fibres support the body’s natural thermal regulating mechanism, helping to keep you cool and support a comfortable night’s sleep.”

Customers who are feeling the heat at home in the evenings can get their hands on the Duvet Set with Cooling technology, in different colourways, including one with a sleek, repeating circular blue and white pattern, reminiscent of shells on a cool beach, or a plain blue option.

The bargain duvet set might be just the ticket for a long hot summer and at £18.99 for a double set or £22.99 for the King size version, buyers can keep their cool at the checkout too.

Also coming in a calming grey shade to match a range of muted decors, buyers can pick up the complete bed set with a fitted sheet available too, priced £9.99 for a double or £11.99 for the king size.

Far from being just a place to flock to for fruit and veg, Aldi’s special buy products, which often sell out fast, have become a favourite with those looking to update their homeware too, as well as treat their pampered pets.

In May, the store even gave dog-owners a product to help keep pooches cool too with its animal sunshade loungers.

Aldi knows just how much savvy shoppers love to kit out their chic summer abode’s and recently caused a stir online and in stores with a hanging egg chair that customer’s went wild for.

The chair was so popular it reportedly sold out, back in April, in just 15 minutes.

This month, the budget chain updated the chair’s look, with a brand new rope version for summer, only available online.
