Bank holiday opening hours: What time are Sainsburys and Morrisons open today?

The August Bank Holiday is here and some may have forgotten to buy groceries to celebrate the extra day off. The bank holiday may lead to some confusion if you need to pop out for a few extra bits, so Express.co.uk has had a look at some of the opening times this Monday. What time is Sainsbury’s open today?

Sainsbury’s will be open this Monday, but some supermarkets may operate at reduced hours.

Instead of regular opening hours, some supermarkets will not welcome grocery shoppers before 8am and close the doors as early as 8pm.

What time is Morrisons open today?

Most Morrisons supermarkets are open between 7am to 11pm, but some may operate at reduced hours.

For those stores observing the bank holiday, revised hours fall between 8am to 7pm.

Regular Morrisons stores and counters will open from 8am to 7pm.

Morrison cafes will open at 8am and close at 6pm, while petrol stations will open from 7am to 9pm.

However, these times could be subject to change depending on each store.

Upcoming bank holidays in England and Wales

There are just two bank holidays left in 2019 after today’s Summer Bank Holiday comes to an end.
