Skims are thicker than water.
Kim Kardashian hit the beaches of Malibu this week with her pal — and ex-personal assistant — Stephanie Shepherd Suganami.
Kardashian, 40, was spotted in a black strapless bikini and matching dad hat while dipping her toes in the ocean and snapping selfies ashore. Suganami also went with a black swimsuit, donning a string bikini and black shades for the bestie beach day.
Suganami came aboard the Kardashian juggernaut first as Kim’s executive assistant in 2013, rising eventually to become the COO of her company, Kardashian West Brands. The reality star severed business ties with Shepherd in late 2017, however, after reportedly spilling too many of the family secrets in interviews.
But that’s all apparently water under the (Malibu) bridge, as Steph has posted pics with Kardashian over the summer and even snagged a $25K Hermés bag from Kim for her recent birthday.
The beach day may have been a welcome distraction from the KKW Beauty founder’s last week online, which included accusations that she ripped off another reality star’s photo shoot for a recent Skims campaign featuring her sister Kourtney Kardashian and Megan Fox.
Kardashian also rubbed another celeb the wrong way recently with the announcement of her upcoming gig as a “Saturday Night Live” host, leading “Will & Grace” star Debra Messing to wonder “why?”
“Why Kim Kardashian? I mean, I know she is a cultural icon, but SNL has hosts, generally, who are performers who are there to promote a film, TV show, or album launch,” Messing tweeted upon hearing the news.
