Last year, he won the Best Actor in a Lead Role in Drama at the Irish Film & Television Award for his role in Peaky Blinders.

Speaking of his character in an interview with The Independent, he said: “[The scripts] were so compelling and confident, and the character was so rich and complex, layered and contradictory. I was like, ‘I have to do this.'”
