The lovebirds took to TikTok to share footage of what was supposed to be an intimate gender reveal between the two of them.
In a now-viral video, which has so far amassed more than 30 million views, Alyssa documented the moment she and her husband realized they were given the ‘wrong’ cake.

In a now viral video, which has so far amassed more than 30 million views, Alyssa documented the moment she and her husband realized they were given the ‘wrong’ cake
At the start of the clip, the couple can be seen excitedly digging into the cake using wine glasses.
However, their joy quickly turned to confusion as the inside of the cake was completely white.
Upon seeing the white frosting, Alyssa burst into laughter before Christian said: ‘I think they gave us the wrong cake.’
The couple gave viewers a closer look at the white frosting before shutting off the camera.
Alyssa said that she had later cried over the failed reveal and contacted the bakery via email and sent them a photo of the sweet treat.
The bakery quickly mended their mistake and sent the lovebirds another cake.
‘I swear to God if it’s white this time I’m going to be so mad,’ Alyssa said in a second clip as they prepared to cut into the replacement cake.
Luckily, the bakery was able to deliver this time around and the duo finally found out they were having a boy.

Reflecting on the incident a short time later, Alyssa said that although she ‘cried’ at first, when she discovered the cake was wrong, she then just ‘laughed it off.’
Despite the mishap, she said she didn’t hold any anger towards the bakery and wouldn’t be ‘blasting’ them.
‘It was just an honest mistake. They were so apologetic about it, they made it right, they made me a new cake as soon as they could the next day and they didn’t charge me for it,’ she explained.
However, the mom-to-be revealed she didn’t get a refund for the initial cake.
‘I didn’t get my money back for the first one, which I understand, but I also ate it because it tasted good,’ she said.
Alyssa then revealed that the bakery told her the person who was making the cake was ‘new’ and ‘didn’t know’ how to fill the cake with different colored icing.
