We’re still in awe of Molly-Mae Hague’s lavish baby shower party at the weekend, which involved a room full of candles, hundreds of white flowers and a “cravings station” – and a Chanel handbag from the baby’s father Tommy Fury.
The 23-year-old mum-to-be also looked stunning, sporting a glamorous brown maxi dress with her hair styled in long cascading waves. And to ensure that the social media star looked extra-glowing, she booked in for a spot of pre-party pampering with her mum.
Molly-Mae shared a snap of the two of them at the FaceGym Studio in Selfridges at Manchester’s Trafford Centre. “Little pamper,” she captioned the snap, showing herself sitting in the therapist’s chair. It looks like applying fake tan was part of the duo’s glam routine too, as Molly’s mum was also snapped at the till buying her daughter’s own brand of tan (of course!), Filter By Molly-Mae.
This isn’t the first time that the former Love Islander has shared her love for FaceGym facials. She previously mentioned that treatment in a “glow up” video on her YouTube channel, saying, "I’ve just had my FaceGym facial. It was unbelievable, I enjoyed it so much.
"I always come out feeling like I’ve lost about 10lbs from my face,” she added.
FaceGym facials – or “workouts”, as the brand terms them – are also a favourite with other celebs such as Bella Hadid, Nicole Kidman and Lizzo. Here’s everything you need to know about this A-list approved treatment…
What does a FaceGym workout do?
FaceGym facials are designed to target the 40 or so muscles in your face, helping to sculpt the contours of your face, reduce water retention and boost circulation. The result is a more toned, lifted and glowing complexion.
What does the workout involve?
FaceGym treatments use a combination of hands-on face massage techniques using a lightweight oil, and tools such as exercise balls, gua shas and microcurrent devices. There are a number of different workouts to choose from, and it should be noted that certain technologies (such as microcurrent) can't be used on pregnant women, but a consultation with your therapist will be able to determine which option is best for you.
Most typically it starts with a warm up consisting of a light lymphatic massage over your face and neck, before moving on to cardio, where the serious sculpting happens, using strong massage movements. To finish, it’s a cool down using a gua sha.
Where can I get one?
FaceGym studios are currently available at six locations in London, as well as at Molly-Mae’s favourite Manchester spot.
If you fancy trying the techniques yourself at home, FaceGym tools and skincare are available to buy, which come with QR codes that link to home workout tutorials.
How much does it cost?
