I’m haunted by my porn star past and worry it’ll jeopardise my career – The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN I was an immature lad of 18, I took part in a couple of porn videos to see what it was like.

I only told a few close friends and we all had a good laugh about it, especially when I told them what I had to do.

Now I am 23, I find myself worrying about what might happen if my parents or my employer found out. Mum would be horrified.

There are thousands of porn films out there and the chances of someone I know seeing one is slight.

But supposing it was to jeopardise my future career? I realise they cannot be erased, but how can I deal with my anxiety?

DEIDRE SAYS: Most of us do things in our teens which we later regret.

Try not to judge yourself too harshly. We learn through our mistakes.

As you say, the chances of someone seeing you – and recognising you as a teenager – are almost nil.

It will help relieve your anxiety to share this in confidence with The Mix, who help out under-25s with any problem (themix.org.uk, 0808 808 4994).
