Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are no longer an item, but it seems the rapper will be returning to his former bachelor lifestyle somewhere new.
The 44-year-old’s first Hollywood Hills home, where he lived for nearly 15 years before marrying Kim, is currently up for sale.
Having reportedly bought the property for £1.26 million in 2003 during his rise to mainstream success, The College Dropout rapper called the pad his home before moving in with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star.
It’s uncertain whether Kanye is the person selling the property, with its clean, sharp-edged architecture and concrete design, but the house is clearly in line with his infamous minimalistic style.
The Yeezy designer’s former home boasts high ceilings, plenty of sunlight and stunning hardwood floors.
It is decorated using natural colours and textures to compliment the sophisticated design, giving it a modern look.
Breaking up the slick lines, the property’s position in the Hollywood Hills provides it with endless views.
To one side, floor to ceiling windows look out over Los Angeles and to the other, the city makes way for the Pacific Ocean.
Featuring formal living spaces, an ensuite bedroom with its own deck and a media room complete with a projector and plenty of comfy seats, we imagine that the Californian home is somewhere that Kanye could have spent much of his time unwinding or entertaining.
Outside, the property features a large veranda and seating area overlooking the SoCal skyline.
With its turfed lawn, spectacular views and neutral theme, it’s the perfect place to have a romantic candlelit dinner or family party.
And with the house on the market for a staggering £2.6m million, Kanye is also looking to sell his 9,000 acre Monster Lake Ranch in Wyomig.
Amid his divorce, the producer appears to be relocating to Malibu – a 30 minute drive away from the Calabasas mansion he shares with Kim – having allegedly purchased an oceanside home with a hefty £41.5 million price tag.
According toDirt.com, this makes it the second-most expensive home sold in Malibu this year.
Designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, Kanye’s new concrete abode follows the same minimal style, though is significantly larger with three floors consisting of three ensuite guest bedrooms and a rooftop terrace.
