Prince Harry celebrated his 37th birthday yesterday, opting to keep the occasion small and simple.
The Duke of Sussex stayed at home with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children Archie and Lilibet.
It’s believed that Meghan enlisted the help of their two-year-old son to bake his dad a carrot cake.
A source close to the couple told Daily Mail Australia that Meghan cooked for Harry at their home in Montecito instead of dining out.

The royal source said: “Meghan is planning a low-key birthday dinner for Harry. In light of what’s happening in the world – from Afghanistan to Covid – they both decided to keep it simple.”
They added that the couple were likely joined by a couple of friends and Meghan’s mother, Doria.
Meanwhile, the royal family paid tribute to Harry via their various social media channels.
His grandmother, The Queen, wished Prince Harry happy birthday via the Royal Family Twitter account, writing: "Wishing The Duke of Sussex a happy birthday today!"
Prince Charles and Camilla tweeted a very similar message, with both sharing various photos of Harry during his time as a working royal.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also took the time to wish Harry many happy returns, tweeting: "Happy birthday Prince Harry!"
However, perhaps the biggest birthday surprise came after Prince Harry and Meghan were announced as the cover stars of Time magazine’s list of the most influential people in the world.
The couple addressed the milestone on the Archewell website following the news.
Their statement read: “Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are not only humbled to be part of this year’s TIME 100 through the words of friend and partner José Andres, but to also write in praise of Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for the publication’s annual list of Most Influential People.”
Jose Andres said in the accompanying editorial that the couple "give a voice to voiceless"
The founder of World Central Kitchen, adds that they have been “burned by fame” but nevertheless “run toward the struggle.”
Other cover stars for the issue include Billie Eilish, Kate Winslet and economist Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
