Users were quick to criticise Instagram’s decision to add the warning to the start of the video.

‘I was worried it was going to be another killing with the sensitivity warning but it’s a sensitive warning to other people that us Black people continue to rise’ one wrote.

‘Why is IG showing a warning that’ this video may contain graphic or violent content’?’ said another.

‘There’s nothing violent or graphic about this video- why is IG sensoring it?!’ questioned a third.

‘Why is the imagine blurred with sensitive content!?!?! This is ridiculous, it’s people dancing!!!’ commented one.

‘Sensitive content !??? Please @instagram don’t silly ! Is it racism?’ added one.

The video was shared with a caption paying tribute to George Floyd.

It read: ‘You May write me down in history. With your bitter, twisted lies, You May trod me in the very dirt. But still, like dust, I’ll rise.’ ~Maya Angelou #LetsNotForget | The black community always rises.  #georgefloyd #ahmaudarbery #breonnataylor #blacklivesmatter’.

Cephas Williams started 56 Black Men in 2018, after he saw a Sky News report detailing the number of black people murdered in 2018.

Users were quick to criticise Instagram’s decision to muzz the video

Cephas, 28, who has a degree in architecture and is the founder of a Drummer Boy photography studios, explains on his website he started the group ‘to spotlight the positive achievements and job roles of black men while they are alive and not just when they are murder victims or suspects’

Using social media he posted headshots of black men in hoodies, many of whom are teachers, directors or politicians.

The project aimed to change the negative streotype of a black man in a hoody.

Among those photographed was David Lammy, the MP for Tottenham.
