Joanna Page’s daughter’s unique baby name meaning as she welcomes fourth child

Joanna Page has welcomed her eagerly-awaited fourth child and announced the news on Sunday 12 December.

In a beautiful, festive photo, Joanna posed in front of a Christmas tree with her newborn, and shared the tot's name in the caption.

"Welcome to our family Boe Willow Russell. We love you with all our hearts," she said.

Joanna's husband James shared the same photo of the mother and daughter on his own Instagram page to announce the news to his followers.

He gushed in the caption: "She is here! Our wonderful girl Boe Willow Russell. We love you with all our hearts".

On Instagram, many of Joanna's friends and fans have shared their delight at the beautiful baby name.

Emmerdale star Charley Webb penned: "The loveliest news and the loveliest name," followed by a heart emoji.

And another person shared: "Omg congratulations!!! What a beautiful name."

So, what does the name Boe mean? Well, let's take a look…

What does the baby name Boe mean?

Baby names website The Bump details that Boe is "a boy's name of French and Scandinavian origin meaning handsome."

Similarly, babynames.co.uk says that it's traditionally a boy's name, but adds that in recent years it has also become popular for a girl.

"This gender bending name trend is one that is becoming increasingly common as mindsets about gender boundaries change. The name is an alternative spelling of Beau," the site adds.

Joanna announced her “unexpected” pregnancy back in August, writing on Twitter: “Well this is a surprise! Baby number 4 on the way! It’s going to be a busy Christmas!”

Gavin and Stacey then and now: What's occurring with the cast?

It came as a shock to many after Joanna had stated in an interview last year that she didn’t think husband James would want a fourth child.

“If it was up to me we’d have a fourth, but after the third James said he was done,” she told Fabulous magazine. “He thought a fourth might break him.”

Joanna also recently revealed the pressure last year’s lockdown put on their marriage.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: “We spent the whole of the first lockdown arguing and threatening to divorce each other.

“Then we went through a month of literally not saying a single word to each other. We came out a bit numbed and deadened and desperate for anything we could get because we just argued so much."
