Mattel has introduced a new line of ‘wellness’ Barbies that introduce girls ‘to the benefits of self-care through play.’

The new collection includes dolls that come with tub accessories like bath bombs and candles, spa must-haves like face masks, and lounge necessities like slippers and hot cocoa.

Most unique of all, the Breath with Me Barbie doll has a button necklace that plays five different guided meditations that kids can follow along with.

Mood: She comes with a puppy and four cloud-shaped mood charms, which can be stuck in the puppy’s head to help ‘focus with visualization’ on love, sadness, happiness, or grumpiness

The new collection includes several new Barbies and playsets.

‘With exciting multi-sensory products, girls can explore the different facets of wellness while getting to play out the trends they see around them,’ the brand said.

First, the Barbie Spa doll ($14.99) ‘celebrates one of [Barbie’s] favorite ways to recharge’ and comes with a rubber duck, a magazine, a bath brush, a towel, a candle, a neck pillow, a cucumber eye mask, and a box of bath bombs.

She also has a puppy, who gets his own cucumber eye mask.

‘Kids can practice self-care as they help Barbie doll recharge with this spa-themed set,’ reads the description. ‘Kids will love playing out stories with Barbie spa doll and discovering how to be good to themselves, too.’

For even more spa fun, there’s the Barbie Face Mask Spa Day Playset ($29.99), which comes with a whole spa set-up and reclining chair for the doll and her puppy to get ‘rejuvenating facials.’

The set includes a marker that kids can use to draw blemishes on Barbie’s face. Then, using dough, they can press face masks onto the doll to remove the blemishes.

Meanwhile, the Barbie Fizzy Bath Doll & Playset ($19.99) includes a swimsuit, a bathtub, and bath accessories, as well as five packs of fizzy powder that can be mixed with water in the tub to change the color and make bubbles and foam.

The Barbie Relaxation Doll ($14.99) chills out in loungewear and slippers and comes with a sleep mask, a dream pillow, a cup of cocoa, a journal, a cell phone, and a laptop.

There’s also a Barbie Fitness Doll ($14.99) who comes with gym clothes, a workout bag, free weights, a water bottle, a protein bar, a mat, and more exercise must-haves.

Finally, Breathe with Me Barbie ($19.99) wears cute pajamas and a built-in necklace that’s also a button — and when kids push it, it plays guided meditations.

The meditations were made in partnership with the mediation app Headspace and each last four minutes, focusing on topics like staying positive, settling down, and feeling appreciation.

The mediation Barbie also comes with a puppy and four cloud-shaped mood charms, which can be stuck above the puppy’s head to help ‘focus with visualization’ on love, sadness, happiness, or grumpiness.

‘The puppy helps Barbie doll focus with visualization: place one of the four cloud emojis — Love Rainbow, Sad Rain, Happy Sunshine or Grumpy Red — into its head to express an emotion; switch them up to express a new feeling,’ the website explains.

In addition, each of the dolls features 11 joints for ‘more realistic movement,’ and can even sit cross-legged to meditate.

More new toys: Earlier this week, Mattel announced that it was adding several more inclusive dolls to its lineup

They include a doll with the skin condition vitiligo, and another with a prosthetic leg

Popular idea: A prototype of the vitiligo Barbie was introduced on Barbie’s Instagram in 2019 and became one of the account’s most liked posts

More options: The new additions to the range will also included a bald Barbie (pictured)

Inclusive: The range now includes long-haired Ken, a redhead Ken, and several other looks

Earlier this week, Mattel announced that it was adding several more inclusive dolls to its lineup, including one with the skin condition vitiligo, another with no hair, and yet another with a prosthetic limb.

The company said it wants to provide a ‘multi-dimensional view of beauty and fashion’ and ‘represent global diversity and inclusivity’ with the new additions to its Fashionistas line.

They said they hoped the dolls will allow ‘kids to play out even more stories they see in the world around them.’

The vitiligo doll is set for release in the spring, while others will be rolled out throughout 2020.

Since 2016, Mattel has been offering more and more variations of the classic Barbie doll, including curvy dolls, tall dolls, and short dolls.

They’ve also expanded to more skin tones, hair colors, and hair types, and have now begun offering more options for Ken as well.

Barbie released several dolls with permanent disabilities in 2019, including a Barbie in a wheelchair, after collaborating with teen activist Jordan Reeves.
