Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Made Their First Public Appearance Since Announcing Their Royal Shakeup

For the first time since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their plans to separate themselves from the royal family in January, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are back out and about in the U.K. The couple, who will celebrate their 2-year wedding anniversary this May, made their first public appearance in nearly two months on Thursday evening.

The occasion? The Endeavor Fund Awards. The organization in question works to support the recovery of those who have been “injured in service” through team sports and other athletic pursuits.

The Sussexes attended the Endeavor Fund Awards last February, and the year before — Markle opting for a black and white ensemble both times.

This year, Markle made her way to the ceremony in her trademark camel coat and a pair of strappy slingback Aquazzura pumps with pearl embellishments. Her blue, Victoria Beckham dress was simple, but the color made a statement against the rainy backdrop of the evening. She wore her dark locks over one shoulder and accessorized with a small black leather purse.
