‘Down to earth’ Mike Tindall has reportedly been warned to keep quiet about details of life in the royal family.

The former rugby captain, who is married to the Queen’s granddaughter Zara, is widely considered one of the most ‘relaxed’ and ‘down to earth’ members of the royal family.

But it has been claimed Mike, 40, has been warned over revealing too much in candid interviews about life as a royal.

A source told the Mirror that the sportsman has been told to be ‘more on his guard’ when asked about his in-laws, and reminded to ‘toe-the-line’.

Recently, Mike revealed how he’d found out about the birth of Baby Archie through a WhatsApp group and admitted his children Mia and Lena hadn’t met their cousin yet.

Mike Tindall has reportedly ‘been warned’ over giving candid interviews about life in the royal family (pictured here with wife Zara, Prince William and Kate Middleton)

The source said Mike is ‘adored’ by the royal family for his down-to-earth attitude, and that he doesn’t have ‘snobby bone in his body’.

But Mike has apparently been warned about speaking too candidly in interviews about life in the royal family,

The source revealed: ‘Recently it’s been felt he may inadvertently reveal something that should remain private.’

They added that nobody wants him to change his personality, but added: ‘It’s more about being more on his guard when asked about his in-laws.’

Former rugby player Mike has been ordered to be careful about disclosing too much about life as a royal (pictured with Zara at Wimbledon earlier this month)

The Tindalls are believed to be particularly close with Prince William and Kate Middleton, with their children being of similar age.

They are also close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, with Prince Harry believed to been the matchmaker between the two.

But earlier this month, Mike told how his children Mia, five, and one-year-old Lena had yet to meet baby Archie.

The father of two is often considered ‘down to earth’ and fun loving, but is said to have been warned over his candid interviews

And in May, Mike revealed exactly he found out about Meghan and Harry’s new son Archie had been born.

He told Good Morning Britain how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had posted a birth announcement through a ‘young royals WhatsApp group’.

Mike’s warning to stay ‘on guard’ comes after relatives Harry and Meghan face growing backlash after their demands for privacy.

The Sussexes’ approach to privacy has made headlines after they decided not to reveal details of Archie’s godparents following his private christening, and after a royal protection officer asked a Wimbledon fan, who was photographing Serena Williams, not to take pictures of Meghan.
