M&S fans go wild over £29.50 dupe of Loewe’s £395 designer basket bag

Designer brand Loewe’s iconic basket bag has found its way onto every influencer’s arms since it first hit the shelves back in 2017 – and it’s not hard to see why.

The popular straw accessory, £395 here, is not only a practical size for holiday but its boho, minimalist design can be paired with pretty much any outfit, from floaty beach dresses to chic co-ords the list is endless.

With summer just around the corner, we’re expecting this stylish accessory to dominate our Instagram feeds again this year, but if you just can’t justify spending that much money on a bag then you’ll be pleased to know that Marks & Spencer has launched a great dupe of the style.

After selling out for a brief moment, it’s officially back in stock.

The brand’s Straw Mini Tote Bag, £29.50 here, is a little smaller than the designer original, but with similar tan leather accents, a rustic, straw design and classic tote shape. It’s perfect for those looking to get the designer look for less this season.

Not only is the high street version incredibly stylish, but it also features a cotton drawstring pouch and a zip pocket inside, so if you’re jetting off on holiday this year, you won’t have to worry about losing your keys or money whilst sunning it up on the beach.

Shoppers can pick from three different colours, including the classic tan shade, a vibrant orange and a white version – each featuring a faux leather panel on the front and matching faux leather handles. The only thing missing is the designer’s embossed logo – but if you’re saving yourself over £365 with this price-friendly purchase, who cares about that, really?

If you’re tempted to nab yourself this bargain bag, we suggest you do it quickly. Marks & Spencer brought out a larger version of the style just recently, and once shoppers caught onto the fact that it was a designer dupe, it sold out almost instantly.

The high street brand’s original Straw Tote Bag, which retails at just £39.50 here, is almost identical to the smaller version. Although, much like the designer favourite, it features longer handles and has much more room inside to keep your belongings.

As we said, this style is currently out of stock in the original tan colourway, but shoppers looking for a bigger bag for summer can still purchase the bag in the white or orange shade.

If it’s the designer look you’re after, it’s worth picking up the smaller, tan version. But don’t wait around shoppers, it’s so good, we’re predicting the mini will sell out fast too.
