The creators behind the viral cartoonish style Big Red Boots craze have new bizarre footwear for sale.

The latest design by Brooklyn-based art collective MSCHF, is the Backwards shoe which can be worn both ways.

Actor Donald Glover was even spotted recently wearing the quirky shoes at a Brooklyn Nets vs. Orlando Magic basketball game last week.

Fashion lovers can slide their foot in from the front or the back of the BWD Shoe which makes it look like you’re wearing the shoe completely backwards.

The brand’s new white leather, orange suede, and black-speckled midsole shoes, officially go on sale today on MSCHF for $135.

MSCHF has previously made headline news over a bizarre pair of $350 red rubber boots inspired by cartoon character Astro Boy.

The footwear were officially released in February, sent the internet wild – but opinions were divided.

Some said that they cannot wait to get their hands on a pair, claiming ‘if you couldn’t rock them it’s because you have ugly taste, no style and no pizzazz.’

But others said that shoppers need to ‘let it go’ and compared the goofy design to characters such as Pac-Man and Clifford the Big Red Dog.

MSCHF, which was founded in 2016, has gained a reputation for creating both digital and physical designs that mock and warp everyday concepts.

The brand’s wacky creations in the past have included a cologne that smells like WD-40, ‘Eat The Rich Popsicles’ in the shape of iconic plurocrats, and ‘Jesus Shoes’ with holy water sourced from the River Jordan inside the sole.

Its latest meme-worthy creation, the Big Red Boot, is made from TPUrubber shell and EVA foam.

MSCHF itself has branded the shoes as ‘cartoon boots for a cool 3D world’ and the press release notes: ‘If you kick someone in these boots they go BOING!’

It continued: ‘You never design shoes to be shaped like feet. Big Red Boots are REALLY not shaped like feet, but they are EXTREMELY shaped like boots.’

The Big Red Boot has caused quite a stir online with social media being sent into a frenzy – and opinions are very divided.

Another wrote: ‘Guys I’m not even joking at this point. I’m getting those big red boot. Like all seriousness I’m getting them.’
