New mum Jasmin Aileen Valero just wanted to grab some sleep after the exhausting job of looking after a newborn baby – but now she's regretting asking her partner to step up.
She could never have expected her daughter's dad would find it funny to shave the tot's hair clean off – as a joke.
Suffice to say, she didn't find it funny – and she's not the only one.
The Californian shared a video of her being given the shock of a lifetime and it's gone viral, with thousands of people reacting with some even labelling it 'child abuse'.
Jasmin had only just woken up when baby Jazlyn's father, Joshua Luevanoz, handed her her child and began filming.
More than 3.9million people have now seen her burst into tears as the video went viral.
The baby's head was initially covered by a towel as the cruel dad prepared a surprise reveal. Jasmin is none the wiser – bouncing Jazlyn on her knee.
Joshua then pulls off the towel to reveal their baby's new skinhead look – and Jasmin's jaw drops.
She begins screaming while Joshua is heard laughing.
Jasmin says: "That's not funny. Why is she bald? Joshua, that's not funny."
However, Mail Online reports that it is actually a custom in Mexican families to shave the head of young children.
This is so it "can grow thicker and nicer," Jasmin said.
Jasmin and Joshua had discussed whether they should do it – but it seems he decided to go ahead without telling her.
