Posing ‘influencer’ at Holocaust memorial slammed for photos in sports bra

A so-called influencer left people "horrified beyond words" when she was filmed posing on top of a Holocaust memorial in Berlin.

In the viral clip, shared on TikTok by the account @influencersinthewild on Friday (October 29) a blonde woman modeling a black sports bra and leggings is draped over the city's Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe.

As the woman pouts and poses, people walking through the park stare at her.

The person filming from a distance expresses her own disgust and blasts: "I'm horrified beyond words."

Since it was shared by the popular channel, which often shares footage of the crazy things influencers do to get attention, it has been watched 12 million times.

Thousands of people have commented, with many viewers shocked and claiming the woman posing in the video was insensitive.

One person fumed: "Notice how everyone is staring at her because it's so disrespectful."

A second commented: "I'm Jewish and just horrified by how inappropriate this is."

Someone else: "This was created to be used and interacted with but not to play with it.

"She is clearly not trying to educate people about the Holocaust."

"At the 9/11 memorial in NYC I saw couples literally making out and sitting on plaques," another viewer said.

Similarly, another person shared: "When I was at Auschwitz in 2019 they closed the rail tracks nearby because influencers kept taking pics on them."

Police officers in Berlin have recently been criticised after they were caught doing push-ups at the memorial, which was branded unacceptable and a "violation of the memory" of the Nazi's victims.

The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe is a massive artwork made out of 2,711 grey blocks of different sizes located in central Berlin.

It was designed by architect Peter Eisenman and engineer Buro Happold and opened to the public in 2005.
