Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis Clap for Healthcare Workers in an Adorable Video

Like the rest of the world, the British royal family has been reeling from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Prince Charles has revealed that he has been diagnosed with the virus. However, he has explained that he is in good health and is only experiencing mild symptoms.

It was also just revealed that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has contracted the virus. He has gone into self-isolation and has closed down the U.K. for three weeks. With Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall isolating in Scotland, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip quarantining in Windsor due to their advanced age, and the Sussexes living in Los Angeles amid Megxit, the Cambridges are currently the faces of the British royal family.

Though Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William are practicing self-isolating and social distancing at Kensington Palace with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, they are finding ways to make the people of the U.K. feel loved and comforted.

The coronavirus pandemic has brought the British royal family closer together

Though they are unable to physically be close to one another, the hurt feelings following Megxit appear to be a thing of the past. Smid the future king’s scary diagnosis, the British royal family and Prince William and Prince Harry specifically have been mending fences.

“Meghan told her inner circle of friends that Harry has been communicating with Prince William and the Queen on a pretty consistent basis,” an insider told Daily Mail. “She said this world crisis has actually brought them all closer together, especially Harry and his brother. Harry has made it very clear to them that he will do whatever he can to help from Canada. Meghan said they are grateful, especially Harry, that they could spend time with his family before all this insanity began.”

These are uncertain times. And now, more than ever, we need each other. We need each other for truth, for support, and to feel less alone during a time that can honestly feel quite scary. There are so many around the world who need support right now, who are working tirelessly to respond to this crisis behind the scenes, on the frontline, or at home. Our willingness, as a people, to step up in the face of what we are all experiencing with COVID-19 is awe-inspiring. This moment is as true a testament there is to the human spirit. We often speak of compassion. All of our lives are in some way affected by this, uniting each of us globally. How we approach each other and our communities with empathy and kindness is indisputably important right now. Over the coming weeks, this will be our guiding principle. We will be sharing information and resources to help all of us navigate the uncertainty: from posting accurate information and facts from trusted experts, to learning about measures we can take to keep ourselves and our families healthy, to working with organisations that can support our mental and emotional well-being. In addition, we will focus on the inspiring stories of how so many of you around the world are connecting in ways big and small to lift all of us up. We are all in this together, and as a global community we can support each other through this process – and build a digital neighbourhood that feels safe for every one of us. We look forward to sharing more over the days and weeks to come…

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were the first royal family members to address the coronavirus pandemic

Since the pandemic seemingly hit North America faster, the Sussexes were the first royals to use their platform to address it.  On March 18, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared a course of action to help support the mental health of others amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The duchess, in particular, is said to be very concerned about the mental health effects following the pandemic. She was also concerned about the coronavirus during her final royal engagements which is why she chose to leave baby Archie behind in Canada.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis just clapped for NHS workers

Like healthcare workers across the globe, the National Health Service (NHS) workers in the U.K. are working overtime to try and combat the virus while saving lives. The Cambridges just released a warm and fuzzy video of their three young children appealing them.

In the Instagram video, Princess Charlotte and Prince George stand on either side of their baby brother, Prince Louis clapping eagerly. The Cambridges captioned the video, “They’re clapping for all the doctors, nurses, carers, GPs, pharmacists, volunteers and other NHS staff working tirelessly to help those affected by #COVID19: thank you. #ClapForOurCarers #ClapForCarers, “#ThankYouNHS “#ClapForNHS.”

The Sussexes delighted in the video replying in their stories, “Thank you for all that you continue to do! Applauding you from across the pond.”
