Princess Eugenie shared a gushing tribute to her ‘brave and true’ big sister Princess Beatrice yesterday as she celebrated her 33rd birthday.
Proud sister Eugenie, 31, posted several previously unseen photographs of the pair together on her Instagram page last night.
Alongside the images, which included a snap of the sisters holding hands while petting a dolphin and beaming as they stood atop a mountain together, Eugenie wrote: ‘Happy Birthday to my big sissy.
‘BeaBea you are sensational and I have loved every minute watching you be brave and true…and you…and now a mummy to be.’

The post came hours after Princess Beatrice’s husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi led birthday well-wishes to the pregnant royal with a sweet snap of the couple.
Alongside the picture, which showed a beaming Beatrice nestling into her husband on a trip to the beach, Edo gushed: ‘Happy Birthday my love. I love you with all my heart’.

The couple, who married in an intimate private ceremony at the Royal Lodge in Windsor last year, are expecting their first child together in the autumn.
The post comes weeks after the couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary together.
Edo and Beatrice tied the knot at Royal Chapel of All Saints, in the grounds of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s home of Royal Lodge, in Windsor Great Park, in July last year.
The couple were surrounded by close family including the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.

As they celebrated the anniversary in June, Edo hailed his wife as the ‘kindest, loveliest and most beautiful person in the world’ in a gushing Instagram post.
Sharing a sweet selfie taken on a day out in the country, he wrote: ‘I can’t believe it has been 1 year.
‘Every second of every day since has been so full of joy, happiness, laughter and love.

He is a count himself, and had been a friend of the York children for some time before getting engaged to Beatrice.
