If you’re happy with your phone company, insurer or bank, refer a friend and you could get paid if they sign up – and sometimes they’ll get cash too. Here are some of the companies that pay you for introducing a pal.
PRESS PLAY: If you’ve got broadband, TV or mobile with Virgin Media, refer a friend and get up to £50 cashback each. O2 Volt packages are also included in the deal. You’ll each receive the cash 60 days after their service is installed or their new phone delivered.
CASHBACK: Earn money as you shop with Topcashback.co.uk for free, and then boost your payout by introducing friends.
Hurry – if your mate signs up before 10am tomorrow, it will pay £25 (or £30 if you are a Plus member).
You won’t get the money until they’ve earned their first £10 in cashback. After this it is paying £20 for referrals (or £25 for Plus members).
Another big cashback site, Quidco, gives you a £25 bonus and your friend £5 once they’ve earned their first £5 of confirmed cashback.

FILL YOUR FREEZER: When you share Iceland’s voucher for £6 off a £45 spend for new customers, you can get £6 off your next £60 shop. You can make multiple referrals and earn up to £1,500.
COVER UP: You can claim big rewards if you refer a friend for insurance.
If you’re a Vitality customer, you could get a £100 John Lewis or Amazon gift card when you refer a friend who takes out a health or life insurance policy for at least three months.
For car, van, pet, travel or home insurance, Admiral gives you £20-£75 for introducing a friend who takes out a new policy, but it can’t be a renewal.
Hiscox pays up to £100 for a home or business cover referral, but your friend’s policy must cost at least £250 excluding insurance premium tax.
