Tess, based in the US, who tweets under the handle of @that1mum started off the conversation by asking: ‘What’s the funniest excuse for cheating someone has given you?’
She told her funny excuse first by sharing : ‘I’ll go. My ex told me he cheated on me because I had a driving phobia.’

Others were quick to follow her tweet, with one adding: ‘My ex told me he was sex deprived and scientifically that justified him sleeping around.’
Another tweeted: ‘He said he forgot we were dating.’
While one woman is still confused about her ex’s excuse: ‘”you are too easy to love” and it scared him…I still don’t understand lol.’
Others shared funny excuses: ‘The other girl bought him a Jimmy Johns sandwich so he had to pay her back somehow.’
