Stalker posts champagne celebration snaps as early jail release angers victims

A stalker has been pictured raising a glass of champagne and relaxing at home after serving just a quarter of her one-year sentence behind bars.

Jill Sharp's celebrations have angered her victims, who say the 33-year-old has shown a "total lack of remorse" while flaunting her freedom in Facebook posts.

One snap shows Rangers fan Sharp, of Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, grinning widely on a sofa with her partner Craig Hale while they are dressed in matching pyjamas.

Their hands are clasped as they clutch glasses of Moët & Chandon champagne are surrounded by balloons reading "Welcome home" and "#Done", the Daily Record reports.

An undated photo posted after her early release shows her smiling in a hot tub while raising a glass of Veuve Clicquot on a previous holiday.

A friend commented: "You will be back there before you know it.

Sharp replied with a plane emoji, writing: "You know me only too well lol… The countdown is on!"

Sharp was released from jail after serving just three months of her one-year term for stalking two former friends, creating fake social media profiles while tormenting them.

When she was sentenced at Livingston Sheriff Court in July, she wept in the dock and a judge blasted her for her "disgraceful and wicked” terror campaign against Maggie Paton, 58, and her husband Steve.

Sharp sent emails to the couple’s workplaces with false claims they were involved in criminal activity, including dealing drugs to kids.

Mr Paton, 60, hit out at Sharp following her release, telling the Daily Record: “There is a total lack of remorse for what she put us through.

This obsession she has with champagne is sad but we won’t be intimidated by her.

“It seems ridiculous that Sharp was sentenced to 12 months but only served three and is out before Christmas.

“But the whole world now knows what she did after she admitted it in court.

"She is the type to just keep squirming and denying everything but even her friends and family know she is an obsessive stalker and fantasist.
