Wild video shows club worker tossed into air by fierce storm

This storm really blew them away.

A wild new video shows workers at a South Carolina club getting thrashed around by a storm — including one guy who is flung 20 feet into the air.

Samuel Foster and his co-workers at the Esso Club in Clemson were setting up a large event tent for a scheduled Clemson University event at the club on Monday when the storm hit. Gusting winds ripped the tent from its moorings, taking a few employees with it — and making Foster airborne.

“It took a second for it to register,” Foster told WYFF-TV. “But then I’m 20 feet in the air and all I could think was, ‘I gotta land on this roof.’”

At least one other worker at the bar and catering hall had minor injuries as employees were thrown around like rag dolls, including one woman sent flying and hit by a flying table.

“The bigger tent that we had installed that morning kind of just took off,” another employee, Candice Bell, told the station.

Foster, hurled up and over, doesn’t quite make the roof — his face hits the gutter as he’s dropped to the ground, leaving a nasty bruise on his face.

But he lived to talk about it.

“All our stuff is getting blown away and I’m trying to save all the work I put into it,” he said. “I’m really thankful for God for looking out for me there.”
