Bristol Airport reveals the clever way to avoid airport queues this summer – and it's free | The Sun

BRISTOL Airport has revealed the clever way to make sure you don't get stuck in long queues this summer – and you won't have to pay a penny.

In response to the long queues, some airports and airlines have started letting passengers leave their bags the night before.

Jet2, TUI and easyJet all offer the free service at Bristol Airport, although some airports such as Heathrow and Manchester have similar services.

This means Brits who are staying near the airport or overnight at the on-site Hilton can take advantage.

Jet2's twilight check in lets one person drop off up to six people's bags.

This can be done any time between 4:30pm and 9pm the night before, if your flight is before midday.

EasyJet's bag drop is similar to Jet2 – anyone flying before midday can check their bags the night before between 4pm and 9pm.

So you can dump your bags, found at Desk 24, then head to your airport hotel for the night.

TUI's twilight bag drop is for any customers with slightly earlier flights, if travelling before 8:30am the next day.

Passengers can check in their bags between 6pm and 9pm the night before.

To use the service, you will need your passport and boarding passes.

However, once done, you can go straight through security the next day, skipping the long check in queues.

Richard Thomasson, Head of Customer Operations, Bristol Airport said the new services were following a "rapid increase" in passengers.

He explained: "Having the option to check-in the night before will provide a much smoother passage on the morning of travel and deliver a seamless airport experience ahead of taking a well-earned summer holiday with friends and family.

"We are encouraging customers to take advantage of this service if they can and to check with their airline to find out more information on when their Twilight/ Bag Drop desks opens."
