A Spanish hotel has launched what is being hailed as the first women’s only resort.
The Som Dona Hotel has come with a female-led initiative which has a ‘no men allowed’ policy.
Located in the island of Mallorca on the Manacor coast, the Som Dona boasts plenty of activities, excursions and opportunities for blissful relaxation.
It is open to girls aged 14 and above and welcomes all sexual orientations including ‘singles, couples, mothers with daughters, businesswomen and incentives groups, friends, and relatives.’
Perfect for those looking to travel with women only for religious or social reasons or just to enjoy a man-free holiday.
The Som Dona resort offers a rooftop terrace fitted with Bali beds, a beach-style pool surrounded by lounge chairs and umbrellas and of course, a fully stocked bar.
There’s also a spa for those wanting a bit of R&R, where you can book a massage or face and body treatments in the wellness area.
Though guests may book a room to enjoy a male-free holiday, the resort isn’t all women.
Hotel staff will include men as Som Dona has male employees to comply with Spain’s gender discrimination laws.
But the company is attempting to fill traditionally male-led roles with women.
You can book a double room, a double with a pool view or a Splendit double which comes with its own perks such as complimentary coffee and minibars, robes, slippers, and aromatherapy products (and yeah you could probably nick a few of these things).
Rooms are complete with a queen-sized bed, en suite bathroom, and four-star service ‘specifically designed for women’s needs’.
Anyway, where do we sign up?
On the website, of course, visit Don Sona online to book a room.
