A GROSS passenger was spotted flossing her teeth in public while waiting at an airport.
The woman was shamed online for her disgusting behaviour.
The image shows the woman, dressed in a plaid shirt, sitting on a seat at the airport.
While looking at her phone and wearing a travel pillow around her neck, she appears to have a piece of floss hanging from her mouth.
Vaughnie Yorke was travelling through Cancun Airport when she spotted the horrifying incident.
She shared the image on her Instagram, expressing her shock.
The image was captioned: "Flossing in the airport, so classy #dentalhygieneinpublic #oralhygieneisprivate #flyingfoodpieces".
She also added tagged the Instagram account Passenger Shaming who regularly share the very worst behaviours of travellers.
Vaughnie told Sun Online Travel that she was waiting to board her flight when she noticed the woman.
She explained: "[It] seemed a little odd to see [her] flossing in public."
She also said that she saw more than one person doing it, adding: "There was also an adult male who was very comfortable flossing his teeth in front of hundreds of travellers.
"At least they were taking oral hygiene seriously!"
Last year, a man was seen brushing his teeth on the London Underground and spitting on the platform.
Gross people are common when travelling or flying – with one passenger putting their bare feet on another person's arm rest during the flight.
A woman was shamed for using a foot file to grate her foot mid-flight.
Last week, a man was even spotted urinating from his airport seat.
