I've been travelling for 40 years – and there is a £8.99 item I swear by no matter where I go | The Sun

A MAN who has been travelling for more than 40 years has revealed the item he swears by no matter where he goes on holiday.

Rick Steves, who is known for his travel shows and guidebooks, has been travelling the world since the 1980s.

So he certainly knows a thing or two – and said that one thing he never goes travelling without is a simple money belt.

He told Insider: "I bring a money belt for times when I'm feeling like I'm going to be out and about on the road.

"It's a smart idea to have things tied to my waist under my clothing, as far as my valuables."

He said it was also a great idea for kids to make them feel included in planning the holiday.
