Mums are raving about the Disney shop where souvenirs are up to 90% off- and it’s right down the road from the Orlando parks – The Sun

BEING on a budget doesn't mean you have to miss out on souvenirs when you go to Disney World.

There's a "secret" discount shop just outside the gates and mums say they've found gifts at 90 per cent off compared to prices in the parks.

The shop is called Disney Character Warehouse and it's located across the road from the Disney Springs entrance in Florida, at Orlando Premium Outlets.

With items regularly refreshed, you can even find souvenirs that are still being sold in the park – but at a huge discount.

Blogger Travelling Mom said she found lots of cheap deals compared to the park.

For example, she found lots of accessories for the Magic bands costing just $1.99 (£1.50) each, compared to $13 (£10) in the park.

She also found toy pillows for her daughter for $12.99 (£10) – normally $33 (£26) in the park, as well as Vinylmation collectable toys for her son for $4 (£3) instead of $14 (£11).

Disney pin starter sets can cost up to $30 (£23) in the park, yet they're a bargain $12 (£10) in the discount shop.

Character pillows featuring princesses from Frozen and Rapunzel were just $12.99 (£10) instead of $29.99 (£23).

Tops sell for just $4 (£3) – they might not be the latest season's designs but they're much cheaper than in the park where similar items start from $25 (£19).

A Jack Skellington hat headband was just $7.99 (£6) in store, compared to $34.99 (£27) at Disney World.

One thing to avoid? Food and snacks.

Another blog said most edible treats were exactly the same price in the park.

Bargain shoppers are warned to try and avoid driving to the shop, as the car park is always full.

Expect long queues both at the checkout and outside the shop, as well as "snipers" who buy the cheap goods to then sell on eBay and other discount shops.

To avoid it, fans say to get there just as the store opens or in the last hour of opening.

Fans have shared their hauls on social media, with many claiming they saved hundreds of pounds compared to the prices inside the theme park.

One woman showed a collection of clothing and gifts which came to "less than $100 (£78)".

You could also get cheaper Disney tickets if you don't enter the park until midday thanks to Mid-Day Magic tickets.

Disney also offer free holidays for "Disney experts".

Their Disney Moms advice page gives free family holidays for panellists on the website.
