Passenger branded a hero for his 'genius' revenge on fellow traveller during flight | The Sun

A MAN has filmed himself getting revenge on the passenger sat behind him on a plane after they showed some very questionable foot etiquette.

Dealing with other people on planes can be tough, but this man used a very simple method to quickly cut out a fellow passenger's unwanted behaviour.

Andreas Ellingsen was happily sitting on his flight when he noticed the person sat behind had stretched out so much that one of their feet was sticking out under his seat.

Instead of asking the person nicely to remove their foot from his legroom, Andreas simply took matters into his own hands.

He poured cold water over the offending toes, which then very quickly retreated back under the seat.

Andreas (@andreasellingseen) filmed the encounter and shared it to Tiktok, where it has been seen more than eight million times.

One wrote: "This is the only appropriate response."

Another said : "Not all heroes wear capes."

A third added: "You sir are a genius."

Andreas isn't the only person to have used this method to get revenge either, with another Tiktoker Daniel Green doing the same.

Daniel noticed a pair of grey socks protruding from underneath his seat and quickly took decisive action by pouring a can of fizzy pop onto her socks.

He filmed him getting his revenge and shared it to Tiktok (@danielgreen2426) where it has been seen more than 310,000 times.

Daniel captioned the video: "Woman on the plane behind me kept putting her smelly feet under me…she then stopped."

Sun Online Travel's resident flight attendant explained the three main rules for feet on planes, including keeping them to yourself if possible.

They said: "Your boarding card tells you a number and a letter, this will be the reserved seat that you have paid for.

"Your feet, which are attached to your body, should do their best to reside within this space and stay far away from anyone else."

They also explained why feet should always be covered up when on planes, regardless of how comfortable people would like to be.

They continued: "If you do insist on stretching out, please make sure your feet are covered up.

"The risk of bacterial infection from being barefoot on a flight is actually quite high and something you could end up having to see your GP about.

"At a minimum I would say at least thick socks should be worn on a flight, its the minimum amount of protection I'd hope to see when taking into account how many bacteria or critters could be nesting in that plane carpet and interior from all over the globe."
