The game changing travel item that will let you ‘sleep like a baby’ on flights | The Sun

TRAVELLERS are raving about a game-changing neck pillow that they say helps them sleep "like a baby" on planes.

Nodding off during a flight can sometimes seem impossible, with places to rest your head comfortably few and far between, particularly in economy class cabins.

However, there are devices that can make it easier for passengers to get some much needed rest while flying.

One of those is the Cabeau Evolution S3 neck pillow.

The company claim it is the "world’s best engineered neck pillow" because of its innovative "Seat Strap System".

The system is designed to eliminate head drop, neck strain and the instinctive "whiplash" response to reopen obstructed airways.

Passengers simply have to wrap the straps around the headrest area of their plane seat, to secure their head in place and prevent it from dropping suddenly out of place.

The pillow has raised side supports to prevent lateral movement or "bobblehead" which Cabeau say will also keep you from "drooling on your seat mate's shoulder".

Additionally, it has a thin, flat back which ensures perfect spine alignment, relaxes the back and releases tension that overstrains neck and shoulder muscles.

An adjustable front clasp customises the pillow's fit for individual users.

It has a "premium memory foam core", which is protected by a moisture-wicking, machine-washable cover that keeps necks dry.

The neck pillow folds down to half its full size in an included compact case that attaches to backpacks or carry-ons, making it easy to transport.

From 57 reviews on the Cabeau website, the pillow has an overall score of 4.9/5.

One wrote: “I slept like a baby on a four hour flight. Held me in place the whole time. Needed a new pillow and I was at REI so I bought it. I have no regrets.”

Another said: "Amazing and comfortable pillow! I love how easy it is to pack. "

While having a good neck pillow can help you sleep on planes, there are other ways in which travellers can improve their chances of drifting off.

Martin Seeley, the CEO and sleep expert at MattressNextDay knows a thing or two about getting to sleep, even on planes.

He claims that choosing where to sit can improve your comfort on your flight and there are lots of little things that can affect which seats are best.

Firstly, you should avoid sitting near the toilets as that tends to be the busiest area on the plane.

Instead, you should pick a seat in the same row as the wing.

Not only is this likely to be the quietest area but as the wing is usually where the emergency exit is based, you could also have more leg room.

Meanwhile, this travel expert revealed how they avoid jet lag on every single flight.
