SOME of the most famous tourist attractions and landmarks around the world have doppelgangers somewhere else.
There's a lookalike Number 10 Downing Street not far from the original one in London, for example.
It isn't just British landmarks though.
A copy of the Leaning Tower of Pisa can be found on the other side of the world, while the Golden Gate Bridge has a doppelganger closer to home in Portugal.
There are also some stunning landscapes that are almost identical, such as Mount Vesuvius in Italy and a lesser-known mountain range in Japan.
We've rounded up some of the best doppelgangers – so can you tell which is which?
Number 10 Downing Street is popular for tourists hungry for photographs of the famous front door – but as it is a working government building, getting in is nearly impossible.
Thankfully, just 800m away is near-identical Number 10 Adam Street, built in a similar design back in the 18th century.
Capilano Bridge is found just outside of Vancouver in Canada, although faces large, daily crowds thanks to it being one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.
A bridge much closer to home in Germany, called Geierlay Bridge, is almost identical and it has far fewer visitors.
The Venetian canals are not the only famous waterways in the world.
The canals of Hamburg, where motor-powered boats are used instead of gondolas, are just as stunning thanks to the beautiful architecture surrounding them.
Big Ben in London is one of the most iconic attractions in the capital city.
A similar statue, called the Peace Tower, can be found in Canada and was built in 1920.
The Parthenon in Athens, Greece dates back to 447 BC.
A newer version can be found in Nashville, Tennessee.
The US version of the Parthenon was built in 1987 as a full-sized replica.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is an iconic marble structure that leans more and more over time as it's sinking into the soft earth.
A similar looking Leaning Tower of Niles can be found in Illinois – although it was built using concrete and is just half the size.
The Golden Gate Bridge in California has inspired a similar bridge closer to the UK.
The Ponte 25 Abril Bridge is a Portuguese structure that resembles the US bridge in its design and colour – and was built by the same company.
The largest salt flat in the world is Salar de Uyuni, in Bolivia, measuring over 10,000km sq.
The Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, while much smaller at 103km sq., looks almost identical.
Mount Vesuvius is one of the most famous in the world, having been the only volcano in Europe to have erupted in the past hundred years, as well as being the most dangerous in the world.
A less dangerous (because it has lower population count around it) but similar looking volcano is Sakurajima in Japan, which last erupted in 2016.
Most tourists head to Rome to see the famous Colosseum, built around 70AD.
Also built by the Romans was Pula Arena in Croatia, which came years before in 26BC.
