Turkey slashes the price of holidays to encourage Brits back – with all-inclusive breaks for less than £300 | The Sun

TURKEY has long been a popular holiday destination for Brits thanks to cheap deals and great weather.

However, the hotspot has seen holiday bookings fall in recent weeks.

The drop follows the devastating earthquake earlier this year, which killed more than 50,000.

Despite it happening far from the holiday resorts, a number of travel agencies in Turkey said that bookings have dropped off since the earthquake, the Telegraph reports.

One tour operator said they had "dropped some southeast trips" but were still offering other tours, saying: "The Turkish economy needs visitors more than ever after this.”

Anne-Louise, from Patara Viewpoint Hotel said that people in the tourist areas "need their jobs to earn money to support their families at this difficult time"

The UK Foreign Office does not issue any travel warnings to the popular holiday hotspots which include Antalya, Bodrum and Dalaman.

There is a state of emergency in place in some provinces, although these do not affect Brits with the majority of the hotspots still safe for tourists.

And if you want a bargain holiday, Turkey has some amazing deals right now.
