A TRIP to Wales can go ahead from today as the country lowers its travel restrictions for UK travellers.
While England welcomed overnight stays from July 4, Wales has kept stricter measures with a five-mile travel limit.
Ending from today, this means people in England can now travel unrestricted around the region for the day, while two households can also stay together indoors and overnight.
Snowdonia is welcoming tourists back, along with Zip World, with some public loos opening to the public.
Cardiff Airport has reopened with airlines including Ryanair launching flights to Spain and Portugal.
However, holidays can't go ahead just yet – hotels and self-catered accommodation hope to reopen from July 11.
Pubs, restaurants and bars won't follow suit until July 13, depending on the Welsh government's regulations, and this only includes outdoor areas.
Indoor hospitality is yet to be given a date for when it can reopen.

Wales First Minister Mark Drakeford said: "We live in such a beautiful part of the world and I know many of us are looking forward to visiting beaches, the countryside and our many beauty spots."
“While many footpaths and car parks are re-opening, not all facilities will be available in every location straight away. Please, check websites where possible and plan your visit.
"If your planned destination is too busy when you arrive, have a plan B ready and try an alternative car park or destination."
He added: "Coronavirus has not gone away and, while the evidence shows the risk outdoors is lower, there is still a risk. We therefore need to continue to act responsibly."
Scotland lifted its own five-mile travel limit on July 3, along with self-catered accommodation such as caravan parks.
Some campsites remain closed until July 17, however, while pubs and restaurants are also yet to reopen.
